Pinball reverse logic
  • The harder you press a button, the stronger the flippers flip.
  • Tilting your head moves your ball away from the drain.
  • The louder you yell, the more likely you are not to drain.
  • Kicking your leg up while flipping adds more power to the flippers.
  • When you are player 2, it means you will win.
  • Throwing yourself to the side helps you avoid tilting.
  • Threatening the game after shaking avoids tilting.

Fixing pinball and arcade games

Thank you for taking the time to help a fellow player and to make sure everyone can have a great experience! Do not make someone sad because they did not get to play a game. Before you send a game on vacation -- aka, tell someone it is broken or shut it off, please do a quick check:

  1. Did you ask the player or check to see if the correct money amount stated on the game was inserted? Correct currency, too!
  2. Is the game plugged in?
  3. Is the game’s power switch turned on?
  4. Do you see a physical coin jam in a coin slot? If yes, then just tape off that one side. The majority of games can operate using the second coin slot.
  5. Did you try turning the game’s power switch on and off? Sometimes it needs a system reboot with too much use.
  6. Remember, most places try to keep their games in tip-top shape. and you can give a friendly text, email , or note to the route owner. Sometimes it takes time to diagnose a problem, and to find, order and receive parts -- especially if they are uncommon.

There are a limited number of repair persons servicing pinball and arcade games, and some specialize only in certain eras of machines. Provided here are a few names to start, but their availability is not guaranteed.
